FlashRES-UNIVERSAL from ZZ Resistivity Imaging

I’ve just been introduced to the FlashRES-UNIVERSAL resistivity imaging system designed and produced by ZZ Resistivity Imaging in Adelaide.  I’m very impressed with the equipment which is compact, very easy to use and obviously designed with the field worker.  The two biggest advantages of the FlashRES over competing systems is that has 61 channels allowing exceptionally fast measurement and that it can simultaneously collect a range of resistivity arrays including Wenner, Schlumberger, Dipole-dipole, Bipole-bipole, Gradient, Pole-dipole as well as the ZZ’s own array.  The instrument is very flexible in its application, as it can collect 2D, 3D, borehole-surface and crosshole resistivity data.  It is also comes with its own inversion software or can output data in formats suitable for software such as Res2D.  ZZ Resistivity Imaging have very generously agreed to support my research in archaeological geophysics and I look forward to collaborating with them and trialling this fantastic equipment on a range of different projects soon.
