Archaeometry has significant experience in trace element and isotope geochemistry applied to archaeological questions. We have worked in oxygen (Aubert et al. 2012, Long et al. 2014), strontium (Willems 2014, Moffat et al. 2012) and trace element applications (Long et al. 2014). We have specific experience using the following equipment:

  • Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (Varian Vista Pro Axial)
  • Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectroscopy (Varian)
  • Laser Ablation Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectroscopy (Varian with HELEX ArF laser system)
  • Multi Collector Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectroscopy (Finnigan Neptune)
  • Laser Ablation Multi Collector Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectroscopy (Finnigan Neptune with HELEX ArF laser system)
